Data in the app
MountMoji requires no account and uses no advertising, analytics or tracking services. Stickers and the catalog are bundled with the app. Favorites and your language choice are saved in your device settings so they remain available after restarting. MountMoji does not send these settings to its own servers. Device backups depend on your operating system settings. Clearing the app data removes the local settings.
In-app purchase and free selections
The free version stores your ten selected stickers and chosen WhatsApp pack locally. The optional one-time MountMoji Pro purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The store processes purchase and payment data under its privacy policy; MountMoji receives no payment details such as credit card numbers. The app verifies purchases through StoreKit or signed Google purchase receipts to unlock and restore access. Android stores the signed receipt locally and verifies it again. On iOS, the main app shares unlocked stickers with the Messages extension in a protected app group container. None of this data is sent to our own servers. Stores retain purchase records according to their retention policies.
Purposes and legal bases
Local storage of your selections provides the app features you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Settings are saved at your request and are necessary for this functionality (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG). Sharing occurs only following your explicit action. We process contact requests to respond (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual inquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; legitimate interest: responding to inquiries).
Sharing and WhatsApp
Only when you share a sticker or import a pack are the selected images and pack data passed to the chosen app or WhatsApp. On iOS, WhatsApp import temporarily uses the local clipboard with a 60-second expiration. Further processing is governed by the receiving app’s privacy policy. MountMoji does not receive information about your messages or contacts.
Retention and external services
Local settings remain until you remove individual favorites or clear the app data. On iOS, deleting the app removes them; offloading alone does not delete data. Email inquiries are deleted when fully resolved unless statutory retention obligations apply. The app embeds no advertising or analytics SDKs. App stores and receiving apps process data under their own responsibility and may process it outside the EU according to their terms. MountMoji does not send usage data to its own servers.
